Built properly. Designed to grow.

The ADHD-Friendly WordPress Designer for Ambitious Business Owners

You know your website needs sorting.

You’ve known for a while. It’s just that every time you think about it, something more urgent takes over, so you close the tab, tell yourself you’ll deal with it later, and quietly cringe every time someone asks for the link.

You’re not lazy. You’re not bad at business. You just haven’t found the right person yet.

Someone who gets how your brain works without you having to explain it. Who won’t blind you with jargon or make you feel stupid for not knowing the thing you were never taught. Who’ll build you something you understand, trust, and actually want to show people.

That’s what I do.

The Human Behind The Barn

Brilliant at your work, let down by the tech?

I'm Charlotte. I've been building WordPress websites since 2016, I'm based in Somerset, and I built this studio specifically for people like us.

I was diagnosed ADHD in 2025, after realising my son and I were very much cut from the same cloth. Because I know exactly what it feels like to be brilliant at your work and let down by the tech that’s supposed to support it.

Your website should show how good you are. Let’s sort that out.

The Journey

From redundancy to the best bloody female WordPress expert, I'm genuinely proud of what I have created.

In 2016 I was made redundant from a marketing agency where I did a bit of everything. I had a three-year-old and a one-year-old, and my eldest was off sick at his nan’s. By the end of that day I’d phoned every connection I had and lined up £1,000 of work. By the end of that week, it was official, I was freelance.

For the first few years I did all of it. Marketing strategy, copywriting, social media, branding….. anything a small business needed, I figured out how to do. That generalist background turned out to be one of the most useful things I have, because I don’t just build websites. I understand why a website needs to work.

In 2022, after a decade of doing everything, I went all in on WordPress. Best decision I've made.

Oh, and I'm a Scout Leader and a school governor. Because apparently I don't like having any free time.

Same Wiring As You

I'm an ADHD business owner too. Here's why that makes me better at this.

I figured this out in 2023 while trying to get my son diagnosed. Turns out the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. I got the official diagnosis in 2025, it should come with a certificate, frankly. Or at least a badge!

That last one is the important one. When you tell me you find WordPress overwhelming, I don't just hear the words, I understand the feeling.

No jargonNo judgmentNo feeling stupid

How I Work

What it's actually like to work with me.

I do the school run, and my working day is built around it, I make no apologies for that. My office is at home, shared with Ditsy (miniature wire-haired dachshund, chaotic energy, very cute) and Digger (Jackapoo, slightly more sensible).

There are half-chewed dog toys on the floor. Sometimes there is barking. It’s a real place where a real person works. I go to networking events because I genuinely enjoy them, and I work with clients I actually like, because life is too short to work with dickheads.

And I don't work with people who hire a web designer and then tell them exactly how to do their job. That's not a client relationship. That's a hostage situation with extra steps.

What I Stand For

Non-negotiable. All of it.

These aren’t words on a wall. They’re the reason I built this business the way I did.

01

No such thing as a stupid question
Tech shame is a design failure. If you don’t understand something, that’s on the industry for building walls around it. Not on you.

02

Your website works for you, not the other way round
If you need a developer to change a sentence on your own website, something has gone badly wrong. I build for the person who has to use it after launch day.

03

Real life is not the enemy of good business

School runs, dogs, family, the things that actually matter. I built this business around them, and I build websites that work the same way.

04

Invested in your success, not just your project

The best thing this year was a client telling me she was leaving, she’d grown so much she needed a full agency. She gave months of notice and came to visit with her family. That’s the relationship I’m after.

05

Quietly capable
White-label work, noticing the thing that wasn’t in the brief, handling the 11pm panic. I don’t shout about it. The trust people place in me is the thing I take most seriously.

06

Built for brains that don't fit the template
ADHD. Systems that weren’t designed with you in mind. I build for real humans — not the idealised business owner who never needs anything explained twice.
